Dumbo, Brooklyn is one of my favorite little spots to visit in New York. They have a really cute park by the water with a walking trail, playground, rock climbing wall and Jane’s Carousel was a plus with the babies. (Even though we enjoyed it more than they probably did.) The views are by far the best! Chris’s coworkers talk up the pizza in Dumbo (as well as the Uber driver in my best buds ride in NY but that is for another blog post.)
We went to lunch at Juliana’s a pizza place that was recommended to us by friends. Probably some of the best pizza we have had in NY, and trust me we have had A LOT. It’s owned by the former owners of Grimaldi’s (another one of my favorites, go figure.) After lunch I spotted some wall murals and had to break out the camera. It was getting close to nap time for the babies so taking them out of the stroller for a photo was not happening.
We decided to walk the Manhattan bridge back to the city which dumps right into China town. The weather was fantastic and we decided to stop for ice cream at 10 below, which has major reviews online. The wait was about 2 HOURS… If I would have known this we would have kept going, however we took the kids to the playground while the boys waited in line. The ice cream was good… Crew was a big fan. This experience of China town was much better than my first in the middle of the hot summer.
^^View of Dumbo park and the carousel and the beautiful concrete jungle as the backdrop from the Manhattan bridge. Ahh I looooove New York!
So that about sums up our adventure in Dumbo with the family.
